Product Questions
My axe doesn't have a hole in the bottom of that, so if I want to use this bracket, should I make a hole my axe?
Question by: Mathias Sunghoon Chung
Yes, you must drill a hole in the bottom of your axe. It's a very simple installation and your axe will be held perfectly secure.
Answer by: Front Runner
I saw another accessory and someone asked if it locks, you said no and set a link to this one. How do you lock this so no one takes it?
Question by: JOE
great question! Different accessories will have different functions. The Axe Bracket (RRAC023) is lockable! It has a machined hole through the axe handle mounting bolt that can lock the axe in place with a small cable lock.
Answer by: Front Runner
Can the axe head part of the bracket be mounted so the axe blade is facing down?
Question by: Darin
Yes. You can mount the axe mount to have the axe blade down you will just have to make sure you have the correct clearance between the mount and the roof of the vehicle to do so.
Answer by: Front Runner
Will this fit the Fiskars X25 Splitting Axe which has a fatter head than a traditional woodmans axe?
Question by: surly
Surly, Yes. Our Axe mount will work for axe's with up to 1 3/4 inch head thickness. We actually use the Fiskar X25 for our axe mount displays. -Bryan
