On December 31, 2020 the transition period officially ended and the EU rules and laws will no longer apply to the UK. From January 01, 2021 the UK is treated as any other non-EU country, with the exceptions of the preliminary FTA.

General update

Under this FTA, for products, which are manufactured in the EU, you do not have to pay any duties.

All products that are produced outside the EU will be, depending on the total value of your order, subject to duties. This affects 99 % of our goods as we manufacture in South Africa. Therefore, these product orders require customs declarations. For more informaton please click here.

Tariff codes and the country of origin are decisive for the duties being raised. Front Runner will include the required information for customs processing on your invoices. Please note, that tariff codes are EU codes and under the HS system only the first 6 digits may be identical. It is the responsibility of the importer (dealer/retailer) to provide correct UK tariff codes for customs clearance if required by the authorities.

Authorizations for shippers

We recommend that you as a UK retailer should give a written authorization to the courier services. To enable DACHSER (freight) to handle your import and export customs formalities on your behalf, they need a corresponding "Customs Representation Authorization (CRA)". This power of attorney is the legal prerequisite for DACHSER to be able to represent you in your name and on your account vis-à-vis the British customs authorities. We attached a blank template for DACHSER, which you can use to transmit your information and authorization.

Please send this form to the address mentioned on the sheet or back to us via [email protected].

For UPS, we will provide a different form once we have obtained it. In the meantime, UPS may be contacting you directly to receive your authorization.

Drop Shipping

Drop Shipping is still possible. Please note, that depending on the delivery address country, VAT charges may apply.

  • If a UK retailer dropships to a consumer in the UK, duties will apply but no VAT.
  • If a UK retailer dropships to a consumer in the EU, VAT will apply but no duties.

A: Not within the automated scope of our website. Please contact your sales representative for individual requests.
