I live in an area rife with petty property crime, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to lock my jack into this rack - do you have suggestions on specific padlocks or some other method of actually locking the lift into the bracket?

You can use a Cable Lock or a Long Shackle padlock to lock the base of the jack to the end plate of the Hi-Lift Jack Bracket (JADA010).

The recommended fitment of the Hi-Lift Jack Mount (JADA010) on either the side profiles of the Roof Rack. We do not recommend mounting a Hi-Lift Jack on the front or the back of our rack.

Hi - We don't recommend mounting a hi-lift Jack off the back of our rack. The supported mounting positions are on the sides of the racks! Hope this helps.
